The online environment has really taken off.

Some people use a website not only as a way of selling their product, but also promoting it.
This might include talking about the process you use to make things, sharing pictures of your creations, or even taking requests from website readers.
Of course, handicrafts are just one of many things you can sell online.
In fact, you don’t even need to be selling a physical product – and websites where people sell services are becoming very popular.
Freelancers actually do this all the time, such as people who do freelance writing online, offering their writing services to clients for a range of different tasks.
Some people don’t choose to create a website to sell a product, but instead, create a website for their own personal goals (like running a blog), and sell products off it as well.
Personally, I am working on developing authority sites where I provide readers with a lot of information, and also make it possible to sell my own products off the site in the future.
Whether you develop your website solely for selling a product or for other reasons is entirely up to you.
However, one thing to keep in mind is how you are going to get traffic.
The most common approach here is to develop content and to use keywords to help that content, and your site overall, get ranked within search engines.
However, there are other ways to get traffic, particularly if you aren’t trying to reach as many people as possible.
For example, you can use social media to promote your product.
This works well for handicrafts and one of the best types of social media to use in this case is Pinterest, particularly as Pinterest is strongly image based.
Honestly, there are a million different ways you can develop a website and tailor it around the product that you are selling and your needs, and the great thing is, the online environment gives you the flexibility to do just that.
So, should you create a website to sell products?
That one is up to you ultimately, but I think that you should, at least, look into it and give it a go, you might be surprised at how effective and how much fun the process can be.
